The inside sales representative will work cooperatively with field sales and other members of the sales and marketing team to research potential prospects, identify new clients, identify key stakeholders and decision makers, contact prospects, create and distribute marketing materials, and pitch new business. The ideal candidate will have a background in television advertising research sales and/or analytics as well as be familiar with the marketing process at large brand advertisers.
Job Duties:
- Research and identify potential sales prospects
- Contact prospects, introduce company and products, and schedule sales call
- Create client and category-specific marketing materials
- Meet sales goals and quotas
- Maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders
- Determine customer needs and expectations in order to best position products and solutions
- Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction
- Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction
Skills and experience
- Experience selling analytics and/or research tools and software
- Experience with sales tools such as: hoovers, linkedin, jigsaw, and Salesforce.com
- MS Office tools including: powerpoint and excel
- Effective listening, communication (verbal and written), negotiation and good phone skills
- Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards
- Technical expertise and knowledge of company products
- Problem-solving and analytical ability
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Comfortable in fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor
- Able to handle difficult customers with diplomacy and tact
- Manages time effectively and adapts quickly to changing priorities
- Team player who works productively with wide range of people
- Able to work independently with some direction
- Demonstrated understanding and application of effective selling strategies and techniques
- Demonstrated success meeting sales goals and growing sales
- Minimum 2 years in similar position preferred
