An ad for an oven beat out BOTH Apple and Samsung for most effective TV commercial in Q3 … by a lot, according to Ace Metrix.
The television advertising measurement and analytics firm released the Q3 list of the most effective TV ads yesterday.
Ace Metrix measures how viewers perceive national TV ads by relevance and watchability, on a scale of one to 950.
It’s no surprise that five smartphone and tablet launch commercials made it onto the list. Tech brands beat out spots from ads by McDonald’s and Adidas, who should have received a boost from their Olympic sponsorships.
But they didn’t get the No.1 most effective ad of the quarter. That honor goes to a subtle but clever ad about the evolution of kitchen gadgets, by Frigidaire.
