Another first time winner and philanthropic ad tops the list this week: Jos A. Bank’s “Well Suited Partners” offers a free suit to a returning soldier for every suit purchased. This upper quintile ad scored 22.7% higher than the Other Stores category norm, the highest percentage gap to norm for the week of June 29 – July 5 and is the highest scoring Jos A. Bank we’ve seen. As displayed in the image below, the component scores well surpassed their norms – particularly Information, Attention and Likeability, which all made it over 700.

This ad skewed older – Females 50+ scored it 34% over the norm, followed closely by Males 50+. Viewers connected with this ads military message, giving it a strong, positive Emotional Sentiment score, 56% above the rolling 12 month norm and 47% above the Jos A. Bank brand norm.

Of the 286 optional verbatim comments, 20% contained the word “great” and other words such as “giving” and “nice.”

This is the second week in a row that we’ve seen a cause-related ad appear in our Ad of the Week list and the second military ad (Walmart’s “For the Troops”).
